Greensboro, NC- The Aggie Media Group Public Relations Agency of North Carolina A&T SU is expecting a high turnout as they present their showcase on April 21. They will be showcasing their current clients and all of the work that they have accomplished this school year. The showcase will take place in Crosby Hall Room 201 from 12p.m.-1:15p.m. It will be presented by JOMC professor Ricky Clemons and members of the Aggie Media Group. This event is open to clients, faculty, JOMC students, and guest.
The Aggie Media Group is a student-run, faculty advised public relations agency that serves the aggie community. The agency was created in 2012 and they provide many services including: Media Relations, Social Media, Event Planning, Publicity Campaigns, and Community Outreach. All students are encouraged to join and it is also offered as an independent study class or JOMC Elective course.
Aggie Media Group is hoping to present their projects and show where all of their hard work is going. The agency is split up into different teams and each team is responsible for and represents a different client and completes a variety of tasks. The presentation will display current clients of the aggie media group and all of the accomplishments and milestones they have reached this far.
Also during this PR extravaganza there are other events on the schedule as well. On April 23 there is going to be a PR Boot camp from 12:05pm-1:15pm Crosby Hall room 201. This boot camp will be hosted by Professor Clemons and AMG PR Executive, Ms. Porcha Taylor, and will consist of real client feedback, emerging trends, and the latest communication tools. The boot camp will provide a full-strategic communication plan designed to meet and clients objectives, Press Releases, mailing and distribution lists, S.W.O.T., R.A.C.E. analysis. The session will also feature a ‘Meet the Press’ demonstration and a student insight of promotional planning campaign as a summer intern.
In addition, there will be an Aggie Media Meet and Greet from 5pm-7pm in Crosby Hall room 217. Professor Clemons, The Aggie Media Group Account Executives and Representatives, NC A&T student chapter of National Association of Black Journalist, and NC A&T student chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America will be in attendance. Raising awareness of campus organizations is very important. Being a part of an organization can very well be a deal breaker for employers scouting for potential employees. It is another way to connect with employers and secure a career or internship in the communications field. The meet and greet is also important because students such as freshman can be reached and introduced to all of their options as a student. Also refreshments will be served.
